It’s been one crazy year in Starling City, and one great season of Arrow. We’re only three episodes away from the season finale, and judging by some new details from producer Andrew Kreisberg, it’s going to be an action-packed affair.

The majority of this season has been spent building up the big final showdown between Oliver and Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, and the last few episodes have shown that the vengeful mercenary will have an army of Mirakuru soldiers fighting by his side. We know that Oliver’s team of fellow vigilantes, (Canary, Roy and Diggle) would face off against them, but we didn’t know that a third party would be involved.

The image above, which was released today, features Katrina Law as Nyssa al Ghul, who will return to Starling City with a few friends in a finale that Kreisberg calls “insane.” In an interview with Green Arrow TV, he said:

“[Sara] went to go get help, because when you’re fighting an army, you need an army. She goes and gets Nyassa, and she comes back with the League. It’s the Arrow, Canary, Roy and the League of Assassins vs. Slade and his Mirakuru army for the city.”

How great does that sound? We’ve seen the League briefly a few times so far, and it will be incredibly exciting to see them in action against Slade’s army. We also know that Malcom Merlyn will be back for the finale, so I wonder how he’ll come into play and which side he’ll fights for.

The Arrow season finale airs on May 14th. The next episode, “City of Blood,” airs this Wednesday.
