Arrow Season 7 Finale Synopsis Teases Some Big Returns

In less than two weeks, Arrow's seventh season will have concluded and we'll be forced to endure several months without new adventures featuring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer. Obviously, the finale will feature the final showdown between Oliver and Emiko, who’ve been engaging in the most dangerous of sibling rivalries. And while the cryptic synopsis guarantees just that, it does offer something else quite intriguing:

FAMILY TIES — The battle between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Emiko (Sea Shimooka) comes to a boiling point which brings back some familiar faces and leaves others in dire jeopardy. James Bamford directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Rebecca Bellotto (#722). Original airdate 5/13/2019.

If I were to wager a guess, then I’d say that one of those “familiar faces” could be Talia al Ghul. If you’ll recall, she made her surprising return earlier this season while Ollie was still in prison, so it wouldn’t be crazy to assume we’ll see more of her. Come to think of it, we can’t rule out her sister, Nyssa, either.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m hoping that Ricardo Diaz will also put in an appearance. Last we saw him, he was burned alive by Emiko and presumed dead, but readers of comics have theorized in the time since that he’s since joined the Ninth Circle. Those familiar with Benjamin Percy’s Green Arrow run are well aware of how elite mercenaries dubbed “the Burned” serve the organization, so it’s very possible for such a thing to carry over to the live action side of things.

Either way, all will be revealed when Arrow‘s season finale airs on Monday, May 13th on The CW.
