Arrow And Supergirl Extended Promos Tease Explosive Season Finales

It's that time of year again, where we say goodbye to The CW's clutch of DC TV shows for the summer. As sad as that may be, at least we have three blood-pumping finales to enjoy next week before the withdrawal symptoms kick in. After we got our first looks at the episodes in some teasers released a few days ago, we now have extended promos for Arrow and Supergirl to whet our appetite even more (one for The Flash will no doubt follow).

It’s that time of year again, where we say goodbye to The CW’s clutch of DC TV shows for the summer.

First up, the promo for Supergirl‘s season 2 finale, “Nevertheless, She Persisted,” sets the stage for one of the most exciting episodes of the show we’ve ever seen. Calista Flockhart returns to give Kara Danvers one of her classic pep talks as Cat Grant, while there’s also a glimpse of the show’s version of General Zod (and, yes, he still wants people to kneel before him). Plus, we get a look at what should be a spectacular fight between Supergirl and her cousin, Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman, who seems to be mind-controlled.

Meanwhile, the extended promo for Arrow‘s season 5 finale, “Lian Yu,” looks to be just as thrilling. As Adrian Chase AKA Prometheus is holding his friends and family hostage, Oliver Queen has to return to the island of Lian Yu and team up with some old enemies – namely, Captain Boomerang and Deathstroke – in order to take him down. As you can see in the trailer, though, Prometheus has got his own allies on board – including Talia al Ghul and Black Siren. We don’t need to tell you that this is sure to be one heck of a showdown.

Supergirls second season comes to a close this Monday, the 22nd, The Flash races to a finish on Tuesday, the 23rd and Arrow reaches its climax on Wednesday 24th. All three shows – alongside Legends of Tomorrow – will then return this Fall.
