Arrowverse Crossover Crisis On Earth-X To Re-Air On The CW In January

Even though we finally received a live action Justice League movie this year, there are those who'd argue that its effort was bested by what DC was doing on the television side of things, that being the latest Arrowverse crossover. And while it may take a few more viewings of both to make a definitive decision of my own, it's impossible to deny that Crisis on Earth-X was quite the achievement.

Basically, the heroes from all four of The CW’s currently running DC shows – Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow – found themselves doing battle with their villainous doppelgangers from Earth-X, a world where the Nazis were victorious in World War II. Not only that, but this seamless four-hour event had repercussions throughout the Arrowverse, ultimately culminating with a major character death and a couple of weddings. Suffice it to say, it proved to be an instant hit with fans and was my personal favorite crossover to date.

Now, it stands to reason that some of you missed out when the event originally aired in November – but hope is not lost. If you didn’t catch it the first time around, or you don’t have The CW App, mark your calendars because the network intends on re-airing Crisis on Earth-X in a couple of weeks.

To be specific, Supergirl and Arrow‘s portions will air on Monday, January 8, with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow following on Tuesday, January 9. And even if you aren’t entirely caught up, we’d still recommend tuning in because you’re in for a treat the likes of which is seldom seen outside the world of comic books.

For more, be sure to check out the official synopsis:

THE EPIC FOUR-WAY CROSSOVER WITH “ARROW,” “SUPERGIRL,” “THE FLASH” AND “DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW” BEGINS — Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) and Iris’s (guest star Candice Patton) wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), The Ray (guest star Russell Tovey), Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards), Iris West and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and White Canary (guest star Caity Lotz) – lead their teams into battle to save the world.

When it comes to new Arrowverse episodes, here’s when you can expect each show to return: Supergirl on Monday, January 15; The Flash on Tuesday, January 16; Arrow on Thursday, January 18; and Legends of Tomorrow on Monday, February 12.
