Barry Finally Meets The Thinker In New Arrowverse Synopses


The next load of episode synopses for ArrowThe Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow have arrived. This batch of installments should be important ones, too, as they’re for the week beginning November 20th AKA the week before all four Arrowverse shows crossover for the “Crisis on Earth-X” team-up event.

First off, Supergirl season 3, episode 7 is titled “Wake Up” and features Team Supergirl finally realizing that there’s a spaceship hidden underwater in National City, something that’s been teased since the first episode of the season.

CHAD LOWE RETURNS TO DIRECT; BETTY BUCKLEY GUEST STARS — When Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and the team discover an alien ship has crash landed deep underwater beneath National City, Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is called in to investigate. Meanwhile, Hank (David Harewood) attempts to bond with his father, Myr’nn (guest star Carl Lumbly). Samantha (Odette Annable), eager for some understanding of the changes she has been experiencing, looks to her estranged mother, Patricia Arias (guest star Betty Buckley), for answers. Next up, The Flash season 4, episode 7 “Therefore I Am” likewise brings another ongoing plot thread to a head as Barry Allen comes face to face with his latest foe, The Thinker. Apparently, we’ll also get some info on the enigmatic Devoe via flashbacks.

BARRY MEETS DEVOE — Barry (Grant Gustin) comes face to face with DeVoe (guest star Neil Sandilands). Devoe’s past is revealed through flashbacks. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) puts the final touches on the wedding, which is a week away. David McWhirter directed the episode written by Eric Wallace & Thomas Pound (#407). Over on Legends of Tomorrow, season 3, episode 7 “Welcome to the Jungle” drops the Waverider crew slap bang in the middle of the Vietnam War where a time-displaced Gorilla Grodd (usually seen on The Flash) is causing havoc.

HEALING FROM THE PAST — With Sara (Caity Lotz) out of commission, the team finds a new Anachronism that leads them to the jungles of Vietnam and right in the middle of the war. Ray (Brandon Routh), Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Zari (Tala Ashe) pose as journalists and trek through the jungle when they are lead to time-displaced Gorilla Grodd. Meanwhile, Nate (Nick Zano) and Rory (Dominic Purcell) run into someone Rory knows which give a glimpse into his past. Victor Garber and Franz Drameh also star. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Ray Utarnachitt & Tyron B. Carter (#307). Original airdate 11/21/2017.

Last but not least, Arrow season 6, episode 7 “Thanksgiving” sees Oliver Queen’s Turkey Day with Felicity and his son William ruined when Laurel Lance’s Earth-2 doppelganger Black Siren returns to Star City.

OLIVER AND FELICITY CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING WITH WILLIAM — Oliver (Stephen Amell) celebrates Thanksgiving with his family but the happy moment is interrupted. Meanwhile, Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) returns to wreak havoc on the holiday. Gord Verheul directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Speed Weed (#607). Original airdate 11/23/2017.
