Don’t Expect To See Citizen Cold Or Firestorm In Legends Of Tomorrow Season 4

The leading line-up of Legends of Tomorrow has changed a lot over the years, as characters have come and gone from various parts of the Arrowverse. The great thing about the show featuring the gift of time travel, though, is that no one's ever really gone for good. Having said that, we can now rule out two popular heroes from reappearing in the upcoming fourth season of the sci-fi series.

The leading line-up of Legends of Tomorrow has changed a lot over the years, as characters have come and gone from various parts of the Arrowverse. The great thing about the show featuring the gift of time travel, though, is that no one’s ever really gone for good. Having said that, we can now rule out two popular heroes from reappearing in the upcoming fourth season of the sci-fi series.

During the Legends panel at this past weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con, exec producer Phil Klemmer confirmed that neither Citizen Cold or Firestorm will be back in the new run. To jog your memories, Citizen Cold (Wentworth Miller) was the alternative heroic version of former Legend Leonard Snart from Earth-X. After appearing in the “Crisis on Earth-X” crossover, he joined the team for a couple of episodes before returning to his own world.

As for Firestorm, Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (Franz Drameh) used to be one half of the nuclear man with the much-missed Martin Stein but, once the professor died during the aforementioned crossover, Jax decided to call it a day and returned to Central City to live a normal life. That said, he did reappear in the season 3 finale to aid his old friends once again.

As welcome as it would be to see both of these characters once more, it’s not as if the Waverider is going to be extra spacious in season 4. Though Keiynan Lonsdale’s Kid Flash is also on his way out, a bunch of recurring players from last season have been bumped up to regular status this year. Namely, Time Bureau agent Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan), Damien Darhk’s daughter Nora (Courtney Ford) and, last but not least, John Constantine himself (Matt Ryan).

Plus, there’ll no doubt be more surprise cameos and fun guest spots to come when Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW on October 22nd.
