The CW Reveals Crisis On Infinite Earths Air Dates, Confirms Black Lightning

Since the concluding moments of "Elseworlds" graced our screens last fall, we've known that the next Arrowverse crossover event will be that of "Crisis on Infinite Earths." To anyone remotely familiar with Marv Wolfman and George Perez's classic from the 1980's, this came as huge news, as it remains one of DC's biggest and most popular tales ever published.

Since the concluding moments of “Elseworlds” graced our screens last fall, we’ve known that the next Arrowverse crossover event will be that of “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” To anyone remotely familiar with Marv Wolfman and George Perez’s classic from the 1980’s, this came as huge news, as it remains one of DC’s biggest and most popular tales ever published.

When The CW’s fall upfronts rolled around this past May, it was revealed that “Crisis” will unfold across two quarters of broadcasting, thereby forcing us to believe we were in for a winter cliffhanger of some sort. Well, thanks to today’s official announcement, that’s been revealed to be true.

Without further ado, here’s the air date schedule, per the network:

SUPERGIRL – Sunday, December 8, 2019 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)

BATWOMAN – Monday, December 9, 2019 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)

THE FLASH – Tuesday, December 10, 2019 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)

ARROW – Tuesday, January 14, 2020 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)

DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW – Tuesday, January 14, 2020 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT)

As you can see, Arrow‘s segment airs in January, so we can now assure ourselves that its eighth season won’t conclude until early 2020. Whether or not this is the actual series finale though remains to be seen.

In addition to that awesomeness, beloved voice actor Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond) will make the leap to live action by playing a Bruce Wayne from the future. Not only that, but The CW themselves have confirmed Black Lightning as showing up for the festivities.

You know, I can’t help wondering if Cress Williams saying he’s part of the crossover on social media forced the network’s hand, but I don’t care because this is all so exciting. What’s more is that the press release also stated that characters from Black Lightning will show up, so maybe Thunder and Lightning will stop by as well.

As always, it’s recommended you keep watching this space as more “Crisis on Infinite Earths” news develops. We have a feeling this is just the beginning.
