Not only that, cult followers of Constantine have also had their prayers answered, which we will elaborate on momentarily.

With midseason premieres being right around the corner, it feels like a most opportune time for The CW to announce that all four of its major DC TV shows have been renewed for the 2017-18 season. Not only that, but cult followers of Constantine have also had their prayers answered, which we’ll elaborate on momentarily.

Comic Book Movie reports that Supergirl, The Flash, Arrowand DC’s Legends of Tomorrow have each been renewed for their third, fourth, sixth, and third seasons respectively. These announcements come as no surprise when taking into account that shows based on DC properties have undoubtedly become a cornerstone for the network.

Mark Pedowitz, The CW’s president, had this to say regarding the network’s out of the box approach that has been key to its success:

“Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas. Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.”

You can also look forward to seeing more of Supernatural, Jane The Virgin, and Crazy Ex- Girlfriend, which will return for their thirteenth, fourth, and third seasons, respectively. There’s no word as of yet regarding iZombie or The 100, but their renewals shouldn’t be ruled out as they’ve been relegated to midseason shows and the network understandably needs a little time to gauge their upcoming efforts before committing to more.

As for Constantine, CBM also brings word that Matt Ryan will reprise his role as the charismatic demonologist in six or seven ten-minute episodes in an animated web series set to air on The CW Seed streaming service. While you wait for it to arrive, be sure to check out a beautiful piece of promo art for the show below.
