We’re only a week into January, but Marvel has already begun laying the groundwork for a 2015 takeover. Yesterday alone brought the first official trailer for the upcoming Ant-Man film and the premiere of Agent Carter, while today’s news cycle highlights another upcoming hero: The Man Without Fear.

Marvel’s Daredevil Netflix series was announced back in 2013 as part of a five-show deal that also includes AKA Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and a team-up miniseries dubbed The Defenders. Daredevil will be first out of the gate, now that it has been set to officially premiere on April 10th, 2015.

That’s a month sooner than expected, as early rumors pegged the release date for the highly anticipated series to coincide with Avengers: Age of Ultron‘s release in May. In addition to this announcement, Netflix released the first poster for the show, which in turn is a photo replica of a new 15 second teaser video.

The poster itself is very simple, but it does a nice job of setting the tone for the series, which has been teased as being “darker” than the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’ve also got a new official image from the series (via USA Today), featuring star Matt Murdock in an early iteration of the Daredevil costume.

Cox will be joined by Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Ayelet Zurer, Rosario Dawson, and Vincent D’Onofrio, and Daredevil will hit Netflix on April 10th, 2014.
