Initially shared by Marvel chief creative officer, Joe Quesada (h/t Heroic Hollywood), the promotional image features a giant ‘DD’ rooftop sign, which appears to be perched on top of an apartment block in New York City – Hell’s Kitchen, to be specific.

But for Matt Murdock’s visually impaired crusader, it’s just another vantage point from which he’s able to track and monitor NYC’s criminal underbelly, one in which he’ll likely cross paths with Vincent D’Onofrio’s scenery-chewing baddie, Wilson Fisk. Chances are Marvel’s Kingpin will be facing trial when Daredevil season 3 returns to our screens, while earlier set photos hinted at Karen Page’s role in the grand scheme of things.

Beyond that, there are precious few story details currently available for Daredevil‘s third season, other than the fact that it’s expected to lift inspiration from Frank Millar’s beloved “Born Again” comic. But as Marvel’s premier Netflix series inches closer and closer to release, this inspired artwork ought to sate your appetite in the meantime.

Behind the scenes, we know Erik Oleson will be taking over as showrunner for Daredevil season 3, which presumably picks up shortly after The Defenders left off, which is to say that Matt Murdock will likely be in the care of Sister Maggie.

The third season of Marvel’s Daredevil has yet to settle on an official release window – all we know is that filming continues on the streets of New York City. Closer to home, Marvel and Netflix are about to herald the return of another Defender: Jessica Jones, whose sophomore installment drops this Thursday, March 8th, just in time for International Women’s Day.
