After years of wondering where Matt Murdock’s nemesis had got to, Daredevil fans’ prayers have finally been answered as it’s been revealed that Bullseye will make his MCU debut in the upcoming third season of the Marvel/Netflix show. Wilson Bethel was said to have been cast as the assassin with the perfect aim but until today, we didn’t have any confirmation on the villain’s involvement.

Thankfully, that’s now changed, as Daredevil costume designer Liz Vastola shared a pic of the costume department’s specially-made jacket for the production, and the design featured on it will cause comic readers to sit up and pay attention. As you can see below, it looks very much like Bullseye’s insignia mixed in with the show’s usual logo.

And to further add to the feeling that this shot reveals something big, Vastola has since removed the post from her Instagram account – though you can check out a screenshot of the photo (via CBR) in the gallery below:

Daredevil season 3 is expected to adapt the seminal comic book storyline “Born Again,” written by Frank Miller. As per the end of The Defenders, it’ll begin with Matt Murdock recovering in a convent, while the rest of the world believes him to have died. In the comics, this is where Matt reunites with his mother, Maggie, who’s become a nun.

Meanwhile, his old enemy Wilson Fisk appears to have got himself out of jail, and has reunited with his beloved fiancee Vanessa. Going by hints in Daredevil season 2, it seems that the Kingpin’s beginning to work out that both the lawyer and the vigilante that have been thorns in his side are one and the same. We can theorize, then, that Bullseye comes into the picture as he’s hired by Fisk to take out the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

Daredevil season 3 has yet to be given an official release date, though we expect more news to arrive after Luke Cage season 2 drops on June 22nd.
