Earth-2 Beckons In The Flash Season 2, Episode 13 Description

While the first season of The Flash was all about time travel, the second has revolved around the concept of an alternate Earth. Of course, the Multiverse is something which DC Comics fans will be well aware of, but for TV viewers who may be new to the concept, it's a good job that The CW are sticking to just the one extra world for the time being!

While the first season of The Flash was all about time travel, the second has revolved around the concept of an alternate Earth. Of course, the Multiverse is something which DC Comics fans will be well aware of, but for TV viewers who may be new to the concept, it’s a good job that The CW are sticking to just the one extra world for the time being.

That is, of course, Earth-2, the reality that Jay Garrick, Zoom and the current Dr. Harrison Wells hail from.

Now, Team Flash will soon be paying it a visit, and the official description for “Welcome to Earth-2” sheds some light on what we should expect from this instalment of The Flash:

BARRY VISITS EARTH-2 – Barry (Grant Gustin), Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) journey to Earth-2 to rescue Wells’ daughter, Jesse (guest star) from Zoom. Barry is stunned when he runs into Earth-2 Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin), but nothing prepares him for meeting Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) and Deathstorm (guest star Robbie Amell). Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) has to take over the Flash’s responsibilities when a meta-human nicknamed Geomancer (guest star Adam Stafford) attacks Central City. Millicent Shelton directed the episode written by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and Katherine Walczak.

Between the debut of some familiar faces in different guises and the fact that this episode will be the first time we’ve spent a significant amount of time on Earth-2, this is clearly going to be a big one for The Flash. What ramifications it will have in the battle against Zoom remains to be seen, but Barry Allen and company had best make this trip count.
