Ecco Returns In New Photos From Gotham’s Next Episode

Riveting as Gotham's season premiere proved to be, it's quite possible that I'm even more excited for this week's episode. The reason I say that is because it's set to feature the return of Jeremiah Valeska, the man who could very well wind up becoming this universe's version of the Joker.

Riveting as Gotham‘s season premiere proved to be, it’s quite possible that I’m even more excited for this week’s episode. The reason I say that is because it’s set to feature the return of Jeremiah Valeska, the man who could very well wind up becoming this universe’s version of the Joker.

Strangely enough, he’s not shown in any of the photos promoting “Penguin, Our Hero,” but the official synopsis does guarantee the presence of actor Cameron Monaghan. Regardless, his involvement is teased by various other images included in the gallery, which I’ll elaborate on right now.

As you browse the slideshow below, you’ll come across a lone picture of Ecco, the not-Harley Quinn to Jeremiah’s not-Joker. So far, we’ve seen her breaking into GCPD and leaving behind some graffiti hinting at her man’s omnipresence. This time, though, the psychotic lovebirds won’t be too far apart.

In fact, most of the focus here is placed on Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle, as the latter seeks revenge on Jeremiah. Don’t forget, the burgeoning Clown Prince of Crime paralyzed the future Catwoman last season. And now that she’s once again up and walking, she’s out for blood.

Elsewhere, only one image of Oswald Cobblepot factors into the bunch, even though the episode’s titled “Penguin, Our Hero.” Given that, fans of this particular villain should breathe a sigh of relief knowing they’ll be treated to a healthy dose of him soon enough.

Before parting ways, let’s take a look at that aforementioned synopsis:

With the creation of Haven as a safe place for refugees, Gordon hopes to stop the gang fighting in Gotham. Meanwhile, Selina is determined to find Jeremiah (guest star Cameron Monaghan) and she convinces Bruce to help her. Then, Penguin goes to Haven to reclaim his staff in the all-new “Penguin, Our Hero” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, Jan. 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Gotham airs on Thursday nights on Fox.
