As the season premiere of Arrow draws nearer, it’s looking like we can expect to see more changes once the series picks up. Aside from a new Emerald Archer parading around Star City (which I’m still saying is Roy Harper), Felicity Smoak has apparently gotten a bit of a makeover herself.
Thanks to the folks at TV Line, we’re able to glimpse the Arrowverse’s greatest computer hacker with pink hair as she visits Oliver Queen in prison. From the look of it, she’s seen better days, as the accompanying gallery confirm’s that Emily Bett Rickards’ character will indeed get roughed up at some point.
Elaborating on this subject was new showrunner Beth Schwartz, who had this to offer while speaking with the outlet:
“What I found most interesting about what they’re going through this season is that having your husband in prison is really challenging on its own. But the fact that your husband is the Green Arrow, and everyone knows your husband is the Green Arrow, is a second challenge that couple will have.”
If we were to hazard a guess, the pink hair isn’t concealing her identity all that well, and she’s endured a punch or two to the face as a result of her association with Ollie. But if she had gone back to her goth roots, then maybe she’d been able to go unrecognized on the street.
As you peruse the aforementioned gallery, be sure to also keep an eye out for John Diggle, who’s likewise paying his best buddy a visit. Not only that, but he’s seen in the company of some Team Arrow favorites, so let’s hope it doesn’t take long for the band to get back together.
Arrow returns for its seventh season on Monday, October 15 on The CW.
