As it turns out, the next evildoer in town has been around since the Golden Age, yet hasn’t received too much exposure outside of the comics – barring the animated series The Batman, of course. In case you’re wondering, it’s Rag Doll whom we’re here to discuss today.

Originally imagined as a nemesis for Jay Garrick, it’ll be Barry Allen who’ll have to contend with this guy in the live action realm, as, according to the folks at That Hashtag Show, the producers are “searching for a male in his 20s as Peter [Merkel] is described as an incredibly emotional damaged criminal who has the power to bend out of shape and fit his whole body into small spaces. As he is enjoying his criminal activities, Team Flash will be challenged by the Rag Doll in shocking ways as his sick plan is revealed.”

It’s also worth mentioning that contortionists and dancers are being sought for the role, so expect to see Peter’s abilities be put to use in short order. Still, it’s very possible we could see some crafty CGI being employed as well, as I’m forced to recall the titular ghost in the movie Mama upon reading these details.

The Flash returns for its fifth season on Tuesday, October 9 on The CW.
