DeVoe Invades STAR Labs In New Preview Images For The Flash

To me, there's just something wrong about whenever a villain violates the sanctity of a superhero's home base. Really, whenever Ra's al Ghul or the Joker have crashed the Batcave, or when Lex Luthor set foot in the Fortress of Solitude, it just seemed like such a perversion that'd cause excitement knowing the story would be taken to unexpected places.

In the case of The Flash, it’s already happened with the series’ previous big bads – the Reverse-Flash, Zoom and Savitar – in addition to several other foes of lesser importance, but it feels no less shocking to see Clifford DeVoe AKA the Thinker showing up uninvited at STAR Labs.

We already knew that Team Flash will be taking the fight to him next week, but one of the images included in the gallery below shows DeVoe’s latest vessel poking around what we normally think of as being a safe zone. From the look of it, none of our heroes are there, so this house call may be made unbeknownst to them.

For more info, be sure to check out the official synopsis:

RALPH CONSIDERS CROSSING A LINE TO DEFEAT THE THINKER — When Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash find a way to enter The Thinker’s lair, Ralph (guest star Hartley Sawyer) considers crossing a dangerous line to defeat DeVoe. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) is concerned by Harry’s (Tom Cavanagh) recent behavior. Hanelle Culpepper directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza (#418).  Original airdate 4/17/2018.

Additionally, it should be noted that the above description continues hinting at Harry Wells’ bizarre behavior. Whether or not it turns out that he’s actually Eobard Thawne hiding among the rest of the cast remains to be seen, but this is definitely something to keep an eye on.

The Flash airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
