The arrival of Grodd – the telepathic gorilla and famous DC Comics villain – is something that fans of The Flash have been waiting for ever since the pilot episode. Over the course of the season we’ve been treated to little snippets of Grodd’s origin story, but now, he’s finally been revealed in all of his glory.
The CW has released the synopsis and a few photos from next week’s episode, “Grodd Lives,” which show the badass primate facing off with the scarlet speedster and Detective West. We’ve also been treated to a promo for the last four episodes of the season, which you can see above. The video is jam packed with exciting new footage that gives us a taste of what’s to come as Barry Allen finally comes face to face with the Reverse Flash and enlists the help of the Arrow, Firestorm and even Captain Cold.
Needless to say, Flash fans are in for quite the treat over the next few weeks. The show has impressively not lost momentum at all over the course of the season and has embraced its comic book roots without hesitation. While some series would shy away from introducing things like time travel and telepathic apes, The Flash dives right into it and is all the better for it.
The Flash airs on Tuesday nights on the CW. Check out the synopsis for “Grodd Lives” below and let us know your thoughts about these new reveals in the comments section.
