The Flash: New Poster Highlights Killer Frost

After a couple years of buildup and an Earth-2 doppelganger teasing us of what could be, we finally saw Caitlin Snow become Killer Frost last season on The Flash, something we'd all been waiting for since the pilot episode aired. But even after switching to Team Savitar for a short while, Caitlin was able to tame the monster within before going about her own way for the summer.

Since rejoining her in season 4, we’ve seen that she’s reemerged as Caitlin. But unbeknownst to her closest friends, she’s been keeping her Killer Frost persona suppressed in a way similar to that of the Incredible Hulk. Obviously, the rules of dramatic television dictate this won’t be kept under wraps for too long, with a recent forecast stating as much.

Now, we can expect this thread to be further explored in next week’s episode, “Girls Night Out.” Aside from containing the respective bachelor and bachelorette parties for Barry Allen and Iris West, we do know that we’ll be seeing Killer Frost in some form at the very least. But even if it doesn’t happen in the present, we may be treated to some flashbacks showing her connection to Katee Sackhoff’s Amunet.

Knowing how much a sizable chunk of the viewing audience is looking forward to this, the network is circulating a new posting featuring Danielle Panabaker, who’s looking both Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost. Bearing a tagline of “Frost Warning!” – something we who live in the American midwest have become all too familiar with as of late – it can be viewed in the gallery above, along with a few past shots of the icy villain.

The Flash airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
