Flash Barry season 5

The Flash Season 5 Is Now Streaming On Netflix

If you've lapsed on The Flash, then you sure have been missing out. Though it's fair to assume that some viewers may have been put off by season 4 taking a sharp comedic turn, the balance we'd come to love from previous offerings returned this year. In fact, I'd say this past season has produced the most enjoyable adventures since the show's sophomore run.

If you’ve lapsed on The Flash, then you sure have been missing out. Though it’s fair to assume that some viewers may have been put off by season 4 taking a sharp comedic turn, the balance we’d come to love from previous offerings returned this year. In fact, I’d say this past season has produced the most enjoyable adventures since the show’s sophomore run.

So, if you’re in need of catching up, or if you’d like to relive the experience, know that The Flash‘s fifth season is now available for streaming on Netflix. Come to think about it, a decent percentage of the fanbase digests the show via binge-watches, so this is their chance to be brought up to speed.

Now, I’m not going to post major spoilers here, but I’ll at least give you a heads up for some of the basics.

For starters, you should know that a major addition to the cast arrived in the form of Nora West-Allen AKA XS. As you may remember from season 4’s cliffhanger, she’s the daughter of Barry and Iris – but she traveled back from 2049. Actually, she came back in just in time, because Team Flash will need all the help they can to combat the new big bad in town, Cicada.

If that weren’t enough, the first part in the awesome “Elseworlds” crossover should be included as well. In case you hadn’t heard, it introduced Batwoman to the Arrowverse. Should you want to view the other two parts, be sure to check out Arrow season 7 and Supergirl season 4 as well.

For more info, here’s the official synopsis for the premiere episode, “Nora”:

Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?

The Flash returns for its sixth season on Tuesday nights this fall on The CW.
