The Battle of Winterfell has come and gone, and like most of the Westeros soldiers, it was in tents. If you’ve seen episode 3 of the final season of Game of Thrones, and that horrible pun cheered you up even a little, you’re welcome. If you haven’t seen it yet, consider this your final warning: major spoilers ahead.
With a body count as high as Lord of the Rings, Sunday night’s episode of Game of Thrones gave us everything we expected. Dragon fights. Our beloved characters dying to save other beloved characters. And holy shit, the dragon fights! Like every night that a new episode airs, the fans are absolutely going bananas. I mean, how could they not?
Just when you thought everyone was dead and nothing was ever going to be awesome again, Arya Stark shows up and nearly pulls a [Avengers: Endgame SPOILERS]. Sorry, I didn’t want to risk ruining that movie here.
Arya, what with her having Gendry make her that special weapon, and then having him…well, you know, came through just like many fans thought she would. Like the little ninja she is, she appeared out of nowhere and knifed the Night King, killing him and every last one of his soldiers.
So many sad deaths, so many surprising survivals. The episode definitely didn’t disappoint and here are some of the best Twitter reactions to the aforementioned moment.
