Game Of Thrones Fans Are Furious About Last Night’s Episode

If there's one thing that the last season of Game of Thrones has done, besides kill almost every character, it's divided fans. After sticking through eight seasons of the show, it seems they have a right to be angry. Before I go on, consider this your final spoiler warning if you haven't watch Sunday's GoT episode.

If there’s one thing that the last season of Game of Thrones has done, besides kill almost every character, it’s divided fans. And after sticking through eight seasons of the show, it seems they have a right to be angry.

The penultimate episode of the series, which aired last night on HBO, delivered some real craziness. Unfortunately, however, it’s the twists and deaths that have longtime fans in an uproar. Perhaps the biggest objection is about Daenerys Targaryen. She’s always been the hero of Thrones, overcoming odds and appearing to be a just and fair queen. Mostly. But this season has her turning into the villain, especially after last night, when she burned the Red Keep to the ground, people and all. Hail the mad queen!

Jaime Lannister’s character development has also seemed completely wasted. He’s spent nearly the entire series trying to find redemption and then what happens? He dies alone with his monster of a sister.

Obviously, fans are having none of this and as they so often do, they’ve taken to Twitter with their frustrations. And sometimes humor, because laughter truly is the best medicine, right?

If you’re like me (and Sherwin), you’ll be sticking around for next week’s episode just to see what happens. After all, everyone thought the green eyed queen Arya was going to kill was Cersei. Walder Frey had the brown eyes and the Night King had the blue, so who thought Cersei would end up being taken down by a brick?

Tell us, did Sunday’s Game of Thrones episode leave you satisfied or pissed? We doubt you’ll be missing the series finale next week, but feel free to chime in with your thoughts on last night’s outing in the comments section down below.
