If you’re not watching Rick and Morty, you’re missing out. Leaps and bounds ahead of any other adult animated comedy and arguably one of the funniest and most original series currently on air, the third season really can’t get here soon enough. Fans of the show have been waiting a long time for it, and now we have yet another sneak peek to help tide us over.

They’re only rough storyboards, but the hilarious clip above revolves around another Rick and Morty misadventure which definitely doesn’t end how you might expect. It seems like they’ve both had enough of putting their lives on the line in ridiculously dangerous missions which don’t serve much of a purpose, though how this will shake up the status quo of the show remains to be seen.

Either way, the clip also confirms that Rick gets out of the predicament he found himself in at the end of season 2. Of course, we’ve known for a while that the third season wouldn’t spend too much time focusing on that, so expect his imprisonment to receive some sort of resolution very early on in the premiere.

When exactly Rick and Morty will return next year isn’t clear, and we also don’t know how many episodes we should expect the season to consist of. It was during this year’s Comic-Con that we got our first look at what’s to come, so the show’s creative team have obviously been working on it for a while now. With any luck then, we won’t be waiting too much longer.
