For House of Cards, this is it – the beginning of the end.

Alongside Orange is the New Black, Netflix’s thrilling political drama quickly became one of the company’s true powerhouses. After five seasons and the subsequent firing of Kevin Spacey, though, House of Cards is now ready to fold. But not before Claire Underwood has a crack at the White House.

She’ll do so on November 2nd, when Netflix debuts the sixth and final season of its OG political thriller. Most, if not all of the core cast will be returning to bear witness to the show’s last hurrah, too (save for Spacey, of course), and fans can expect to reunite with Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson and Constance Zimmer.

But there’ll also be a few newcomers as well, and the photos in the gallery down below will introduce you to Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear’s characters, Annette Shepherd and Bill Shepherd, “a sister and brother who inherited Shepherd Unlimited, a leading industrial conglomerate whose family foundations exert a powerful behind-the-scenes force in the American political landscape. The two share a vision for the future of America, as well as a complicated past with the Underwoods.”

As you can probably tell, season 6 of the hit political drama will mark a major change from previous years, as Claire’s now poised to take center stage in the absence of Frank Underwood, her on-screen husband and former Commander in Chief who’s been shrewdly written out of the story in light of the disturbing allegations leveled against Spacey. But Frank’s loss is Claire’s gain, and given how Robin Wright’s political shark can be every bit as ruthless as her predecessor, it seems we’re in for quite the ride.

House of Cards season 6 is expected to bring the curtain down on Netflix’s hit drama this fall.
