‘Invincible’ season 2 teaser sees Mark Grayson himself spill the beans on the release date

Here it comes!

Stellar animation, an absurdly stacked voice cast, a superhero story that was familiar enough to be inviting but dark enough to be interesting, and a final episode that teased some of the most mouth-watering world-building we’ve ever seen from a television show; what more could we have possibly asked from the first season of Invincible?

The answer, of course, was earlier confirmation on when the second season would be showing itself on Amazon Prime Video, and, with respect to the copious amounts of work that go into any animated series, let alone one of Invincible‘s magnitude, it was getting to a point where we simply couldn’t wait any longer.

Luckily, with the release of this new teaser trailer for the second season of Invincible, we no longer have to.

In the short video clip, our protagonist Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) sits down with his new friend Allen the Alien (Seth Rogan) as they shoot the breeze over a couple of burgers, drawing us in with an inconsequential but somehow still intriguing back-and-forth reminiscent of the first season’s opening scene.

Eventually, Allen addresses the elephant in the room; where the hell has Mark been? Mark summarizes his absence as “being busy” before launching into a detailed explanation of the hard work undertaken by Invincible‘s production team; a more than fair enough answer, no doubt, but not quite what Allen was looking for.

After a bit more nudging from Allen, Mark finally caves, blessing the Invincible fandom by revealing that we can expect the second season of this hyper-violent, superpowered treat by late 2023. Now that that’s out of the way, how about a ballpark on season three’s release?

If you’re not yet aware of how massive this news is, do yourself a favor and stream the entire first season of Invincible on Amazon Prime Video. Succeeding that, come back to this article and cheer as loudly as you can.
