Shrinking is the story of Segel, a grieving therapist who eschews the common methods of therapy by telling his clients exactly what he’s thinking. Ford plays his mentor in the show, his second regular TV series after he joined the Paramount Plus Yellowstone spinoff 1923. Here’s what Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV said about the news, via The Hollywood Reporter:

“We have loved the engaging, touching and hilarious world of Shrinking since the beginning, and it has been wonderful to watch as audiences around the world continue to connect with these big-hearted characters. We can’t wait for viewers to experience what the cast and creative team have for season two.”

The series also stars Lukita Maxwell, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie, Jessica Williams, and Christa Miller. It’s written by Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein. While unlike Netflix, Apple doesn’t share viewership information, the show’s a critical darling and has a healthy 84 percent audience rating on the ratings aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes.

WGTC’s movie critic Martin Carr said, “Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein have created something genuinely touching in their new Apple original show. Shrinking brings together Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, in a psychological comedy with pathos by the pound. Emmy awards are imminent.”

Shrinking is currently streaming on Apple TV Plus.
