As if season two of The Flash wasn’t already exciting enough, it was revealed at yesterday’s Television Critics Association press tour that Kevin Smith is set to direct an upcoming episode of the hit CW series.
The filmmaker responsible for everything from Clerks to Zack and Miri Make A Porno is no stranger to the small screen after helming the Reaper pilot a few years back (which also aired on The CW), and seeing as Smith will soon be co-hosting a special look at the upcoming DC Extended Universe movies on the network, this could be the beginning of a very interesting relationship between the two parties.
For now though, he’s just pencilled in to take the helm of The Flash this May, and that means he’ll be in charge of one of the final four episodes. The finale itself seems like a good fit for such a big name, but CW President Mark Pedowitz didn’t offer up any solid details on what this instalment will involve. We should hear something official in the coming weeks though as those involved with The Flash tend to reveal the titles and behind the scenes details a while in advance.
The Flash returns next Tuesday with an all-new episode, and you can find out more on what to expect from it by clicking here.
