Kit Harington Finally Admits He’ll Be Back For Game Of Thrones Season 6

At this point it's probably the worst kept secret in TV history, but despite numerous sightings of Kit Harington travelling to the Northern Ireland set, one snap of him actually in costume, and even HBO's promotion for the show all-but confirming it; it still hasn't been officially announced that Jon Snow will return for the sixth season of Game Of Thrones.

At this point it’s probably the worst kept secret in TV history, but despite numerous sightings of Kit Harington travelling to the Northern Ireland set, one snap of him actually in costume, and even HBO’s promotion for the show all-but confirming it; it still hasn’t been officially announced that Jon Snow will return for the sixth season of Game Of Thrones.

Seemingly aware that fans just don’t believe his denials anymore, Harington has thrown us a bone and admitted that he did shoot scenes for the season – but he won’t go the whole hog and spill the details of his (probable) resurrection, instead only confirming that he’ll be back as a curly-headed corpse.

Here’s what the actor said to Time Out London when pushed to come clean:

Kit Harington: ‘Look, I’m not in the show any more. I’m definitely not in the new series.’

Time Out: ‘So you didn’t film any new scenes?’

KH: ‘I filmed some scenes of me being dead – [jokily] it’s some of my best work.’

TO: ‘Do you know what happens in the series or have you lost your privileges?’

KH: ‘I don’t have a clue. I know how long I’m a corpse for, but I can’t tell you that!’

Hmmm. Something tells me Kit is still telling porkies here… not that you can really blame him, as the entire cast are probably under strict instructions not to spill any massive spoilers.

Of course, it’s not an absolute certainty that Jon will be brought back to life, but I’d say it’s a very safe bet. We’ll finally find out one way or the other when Game Of Thrones returns on April 24.
