New Legends Of Tomorrow Trailer Teases One Hell Of A Ride

Given that Legends of Tomorrow will be the last of the Arrowverse series to premiere this fall, it makes sense that it bring up the rear when it comes to promotional material being released. In fact, just yesterday, we were finally treated to a fair amount of images taken from "The Virgin Gary," the peculiarly titled episode kicking off the next year of adventures.

Most fortunately, today bears fruit in the form of a new trailer, which you can view at the top of this article. If anything, the heavy inclusion of Matt Ryan’s John Constantine is sure to get the fanbase geeked, as there’s a bit of darkness to be found in the video package.

However, there’s some delightfully goofy stuff on hand as well, which we imagine pleases the likes of Heat Wave actor Dominic Purcell. Either way, it appears as though showrunner Phil Klemmer and company will build on the momentum established by a third season that ended with a giant stuffed animal defeating a demon.

Getting back to Constantine, it’s very easy to picture network executives doing a touchdown dance upon learning that the exorcist spoke the words “we’re in for one hell of a ride.” I’m not sure if the writers crafted that line with the intention of it being included in a trailer, but it seems obligatory that such a thing be used for promotional purposes.

For more, be sure to check out the following synopsis:

After the Legends defeated Mallus and wiped the final anachronism from time, they find themselves in unfamiliar territory with the Time Bureau. All that changes when Constantine informs Sara of a new magical threat that leads the team to Woodstock. Constantine thinks he knows how to defeat the new threat, but will need the help of the team and their special klepto talents to help with his spell. Meanwhile, Nate and Rory go on an adventure leaving Nate facing someone from his past.

Legends of Tomorrow returns for its fourth season on Monday, October 22 on The CW.
