Lynda Carter Makes Her Supergirl Debut In “Welcome To Earth” Description

Supergirl's move from CBS to The CW has led to some budget cuts, but that won't stop the Man of Steel from making his presence felt in the first couple of episodes or some very exciting guest stars showing up. Supergirl‘s move from CBS to The CW has led to some budget cuts, but that won’t stop the Man of Steel from making his presence felt in the first couple of episodes or some very exciting guest stars showing up. Among them is original small screen Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, and as you probably already know, she’s set to play the President of the United States.

That’s not the only thing going on here though, as we can also look forward to fan-favourite comic book character Maggie Sawyer making her presence felt alongside Mon-El, the mysterious character it’s thought was in the pod we saw crash to Earth in the closing few minutes of Supergirl‘s season 1 finale. Is he friend or foe? Sadly, this description provides no answers.

However, for more on what to expect from “Welcome to Earth,” check it out in full below:

LYNDA CARTER (“WONDER WOMAN”) LANDS IN NATIONAL CITY AS PRESIDENT OLIVIA MARSDIN — An attack is made on the President (guest star Lynda Carter) as hot-button, alien vs. human rights issues heat up in National City. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the DEO are assigned to protect the President and bring in the responsible party. Alex (Chyler Leigh) teams up with Detective Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) to investigate the case while Kara searches for a recently escaped Mon-El (Chris Wood), who she fears may be the alien behind the assault. Rachel Talalay directed the episode written by Jessica Queller and Derek Simon.

As of right now, we still have no idea whether or not the events of Flashpoint brought Supergirl into the Arrowverse. If they did though, President Olivia Marsdin is obviously also the leader of the free world in Arrow and The Flash, something which means we could very well see her pop up in those shows too at some point.

We’ll have to wait and see if that’s the case, but Supergirl‘s second season is so far looking pretty good, don’t you think?
