Meet “The New Rogues” In Description For The Flash Season 3, Episode 4

At the end of this week's season 3 premiere of The Flash, Barry Allen once again reset reality, and while he was back in familiar surroundings following the events of Flashpoint, it quickly became apparent that not everything is the same. That's clearly going to be an ongoing plot point this year too, as the description for episode 4 reveals that Captain Cold is now alive and well.

Citizen Cold in Legends of Tomorrow

At the end of this week’s season 3 premiere of The Flash, Barry Allen once again reset reality, and while he was back in familiar surroundings following the events of Flashpoint, it quickly became apparent that not everything is the same. That’s clearly going to be an ongoing plot point this year too, as the description for episode 4 reveals that Captain Cold is now alive and well.

The villain died in the season 1 finale of Legends of Tomorrow, but something has clearly changed in this timeline as he’s now alive and being tracked down by Mirror Master. His appearance in The Flash is long overdue, and while the title of the episode – “The New Rogues” – points to Cold finally assembling the team of villains, it sounds like they’re going to be at odds here.

For more on what to expect from this episode of The Flash, here’s the synopsis in full:

WENTWORTH MILLER RETURNS AS CAPTAIN COLD; MIRROR MASTER AND THE TOP BATTLE WITH THE FLASH — Barry (Grant Gustin) continues to train Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) and when a new meta human, Mirror Master (guest star Grey Damon), appears on the scene he lets her tag along. Mirror Master has teamed up with his old partner, Top (guest star Ashley Rickards), and is looking for Snart (Wentworth Miller) to even a score. Jesse is quick to join the chase but defies one of Barry’s orders which results in disastrous consequences. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Benjamin Raab & Deric A. Hughes.

Another interesting reveal here is the fact that Barry is going to be taking Jesse under his wing to teach her how to use her newfound abilities as a speedster. That’s something which hopefully means Tom Cavanagh’s Harrison Wells will be sticking around for the long haul, as his two different versions of that character were the highlight of both of The Flash‘s previous seasons.
