Netflix will continue to chronicle the rise and fall of one Pablo Escobar long into 2018 now that Narcos has been renewed for seasons three and four.

Word of the two-season renewal emerges only a few days after the show’s sophomore outing made its bow on the streaming platform – it’s nothing short of excellent, by the way – and in a bid to stoke excitement ahead of time, Netflix has rolled out a fleeting teaser with one simple message attached: The blow must go on.

Much like its tantalizing announcement of Stranger Things season 2, the snippet above is accompanied with a vague 2017 release window, and given that many viewers are still knee-deep in the second season of Narcos, it’ll be some time yet before we have word of a firm premiere date – and really, that’s okay. Netflix’s slate of original content only continues to impress both in terms of its diversity and top-tier talent, and Narcos is a fine example of a pulse-pounding thrill ride with an all-star ensemble to match. Long may that continue into 2018.

Seasons one and two of Narcos are available to stream now via Netflix. There’s currently no mention of which cast members will return for these additional two seasons, though there’s little doubt that Wagner Mour will reprise his defining role as the notorious kingpin.
