New Inhumans Set Pics Spotlight Radically Different Looks For Medusa And Gorgon

As Marvel and ABC's small-screen take on The Inhumans continues filming in Hawaii, some more images from the set have found their way online. As Marvel and ABC’s small-screen take on The Inhumans continues filming in Hawaii, some more images from the set have found their way online. We’ve already seen a batch of Black Bolt pics that had many fans up in arms, and these latest snaps of Bolt’s wife Medusa (Serinda Swan) and right-hand man Gorgon (Eme Ikwuakor) probably won’t do a whole lot to calm their tempers.

In the Marvel comics, Medusa has a mass of bright-red, prehensile hair which she’s able to psychically control, and while Swann does have the red hair here, there’s barely any of it. Gorgon, meanwhile, is a very distinctive looking character who’s usually depicted with goat’s legs and hooves, and Ikauakor is pictured looking a lot more human than Inhuman.

Although this must be disheartening for fans, it’s worth pointing out that Marvel TV’s official character descriptions for both Gorgon and Medusa mention their unique powers and looks, and certainly make it sound like they’ll be faithful to their comic book counterparts. This has led to speculation that these images could be presenting the duo in their civilian guises, and back on Attilan they’ll rock their more outlandish appearances. Another possibility is that these pics are pre-terrigenesis, and the characters simply haven’t transformed yet.

Whatever the case may be, we’re sure to find out more in the coming weeks as the Inhumans‘ September premiere date draws closer. In the meantime, check out the photos below and let us know what you think in the usual place.
