It’s that time of year again; the fall is finally here, and that means the return of plenty of fan favourite TV shows. Among the best on offer are The CW’s DC Comics shows, and after debuting back in January, Legends of Tomorrow is returning to the network for an extended second season on October 13th.

Following the release of the synopsis for the season 2 premiere (“Out of Time”), the network has now sent out a very cool poster featuring the ragtag team of time travelling heroes assembled.

Along with the return of plenty of familiar faces, we also get to see the new Vixen (the grandmother of the version who previously appeared in Arrow) and a glimpse of the man who will become Citizen Steel. These two are just the tip of the iceberg though when it comes to new characters Legends of Tomorrow will be introducing this year, as we can also expect to see the Justice Society of America factor into future promotional material for the series.

For now though, this is a very cool glimpse at what’s to come when Legends of Tomorrow finally returns. Those involved with the series have promised an improvement over season 1 (which itself was pretty great), and this poster – which follows ones for both Arrow and The Flash – is definitely a good start.
