First Photo From Dexter Season 7 Released

To say that the sixth season of Dexter ended with a bang would be a massive understatement. For me personally, it was one of the better season finale endings in recent memory, with Debra finally learning of Dexter's dark secret. Set to return on September 30th, fans have been waiting with baited breath to see how the upcoming brother/sister confrontation will play out and today, we have the first photo from the upcoming season.

To say that the sixth season of Dexter ended with a bang would be a massive understatement. For me personally, it was one of the better season finale endings in recent memory, with Debra finally learning of Dexter’s dark secret.

Set to return on September 30th, fans have been waiting with baited breath to see how the upcoming brother/sister confrontation will play out and today, we have the first photo from the upcoming season.

“Viewers might think we shy away from that moment of Debra walking in and seeing Dexter stabbing into Travis’ chest… it’s just the opposite. She now has to deal with what she’s seen and what she knows. And it forces him to defend and define himself,” says executive producer Scott Buck.

Executive producer Manny Coto also spoke about the upcoming season and commented on the incest storyline, which will still be addressed.

“Her feelings will have to evolve given that revelation, but they will be taken into account.” Confirming this, Buck insists, “We’re not shying away from those feelings of hers, either.”

It sounds like we’re in for a very exciting season and for a show that has recently hit a bit of a slump, I’m happy to see them going in some bold, new directions.

Dexter season 7 will premiere on September 30th.
