Following their trip into a possible future where Star City is in ruins and watched over by a one armed Green Arrow and sidekick Connor Hawke, next Thursday’s Legends of Tomorrow will feature the team spending some time in outer space as they run into…time pirates?!

This feels like something of a filler episode, but according to the official synopsis for “Marooned,” the ragtag team are still looking for Vandal Savage.

After receiving a distress call from another timeship stranded in space, Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides to answer the call in order to use the other ship’s computer to track Savage (guest star Casper Crump). The team is suspicious and warns him this could be a trap but he moves forward with his plan. Ultimately, the team was right and they have to battle time pirates. With most of the team captured, it is up to Professor Stein (Victor Garber) to rescue them all. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Anderson Mackenzie & Phil Klemmer.

No doubt one of the most interesting parts about this instalment will be seeing Captain Cold and Heatwave turn on each other. Their relationship fell apart in “Star City 2046” when it became clear that the former was happy with his new role as a hero, so you’ve got to wonder if this episode of Legends of Tomorrow will reunite the Rogues or bring their friendship to an end. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
