Pretty Little Liars Review: “Bite Your Tongue” (Season 4, Episode 17)

There was a lot happening on this episode of Pretty Little Liars and we can't blame anyone for getting a little frustrated. For so long Ezra (Ian Harding) has been positioned as someone that the Liars could trust, an adult that they could actually rely on when so many have turned out to be on A's payroll. This always put him in contrast to the other characters, especially those around his age, that seemed to be holding back or keeping secrets. And, now that his sincerity has been questioned, everything we think we know is up for debate.

There’s a part of me that wants to hold out until we find out that Ezra is without a doubt “Board Shorts,” but his behavior has become sketchy to the point that short of him heading his own hunt for A, I’m completely over him. He’s no longer a comforting thought, and even Aria has shown signs of starting to have some doubts in that department.

Erza aside, Aria seeing the school guidance counselor wouldn’t be the worst idea that Pretty Little Liars has ever had. Even barring all the current events that she’s not at liberty to share, there’s a pretty substantial amount of information that has become public information already. It’s no secret that Mona tormented Aria and her friends, although the extent of which isn’t up for discussion. And, Mona cuddling up to Mike (Cody Christian) isn’t helping matters. Out of all the Liars, Aria might hold the biggest grudge against her and that by itself could fill up a few sessions.

Aside from that, Aria and her friends have their hands full dealing with A’s latest stunts which have been getting increasingly more aggressive lately. Hannah (Ashley Benson) finds herself the victim of an unfriendly dental procedure, and Emily (Shay Mitchell) is one crisis away from ending up at Radley (good thing they haven’t closed their doors yet).

Do you still have some reservations about Ezra being A? Will something else push Emily over the edge? How will Aria cope with finding out the truth? Let us know all your theories on Pretty Little Liars in the comment section below!
