After tonight’s incredible episode of The Flash (which revealed the origin story of the Reverse-Flash), a first look at what’s to come in next week’s instalment has been released. From what we can tell, it appears as if the focus is going to be put squarely back on Zoom, as he continues to force the Earth-2 Harrison Wells to increase Barry Allen’s speed for him to steal.

For further details about what’s to come, here’s the synopsis for the episode – titled “Fast Lane” – courtesy of The CW:

Barry (Grant Gustin) teams up with Wells (Tom Cavanagh) to figure out a way to close the breaches, but they are distracted by a meta-human nicknamed Tar Pit (guest star Marco Grazzini) who can transform into liquid asphalt. Iris (Candice Patton) is concerned for Wally’s (Keiynan Lonsdale) safety after she finds out about his drag racing hobby. When he refuses to stop she makes a bold move that puts her in danger. Rachel Talalay directed the episode with story by Brooke Eikmeier and teleplay by Kai Yu Wu & Joe Peracchio.

While Tar Pit will no doubt be another one and done villain for Team Flash to take down, he looks interesting in terms of the visuals being used and the powers he has, so this should still be pretty fun. However, it’s what’s next for Zoom which is the most intriguing part of this instalment of The Flash, and we’ll find out more about his machinations in just seven days from now.
