Sarah Snook celebrates the end of ‘Succession’ and announces the birth of her child

Following the bombshell finale, 'Succession' star Sarah Snook has shared a heartfelt tribute to her four-season stint on the hit HBO show.

Succession star Sarah Snook has reminisced on her four-season stint on the hit HBO show, alongside the announcement of the birth of her first child. Taking to Instagram to share her thoughts on Succession’s just-aired series finale, the actress shared an image of herself watching television with a little bald head peeking into frame, and recalled working on a show that “has changed [her] life.”

Snook, who portrayed Siobhan Roy, wrote that she was unable to express the show’s importance to her, and looked back fondly on “the memories, good times, challenges and triumphs” she enjoyed throughout her stint. The actress said her time on Succession will be difficult to top, before expressing her gratitude to the series’ cast and crew. “The people of this show are a talented bunch, and I’m proud to have worked alongside them,” Snook wrote. “It’s the people I will miss most.”

Sharing support in the comments, Snook’s Succession co-star and Gerri Kellman actress J. Smith-Cameron said the actress was a “Queen of Queens,” while The Last of UsMelanie Lynskey said she was “in awe” of Snook’s role.

Snook first announced that she was expecting her first child at Succession’s season 4 premiere, before it was revealed that her pregnancy had been written into the show. In last night’s season finale, Siobhan relented to her troubled marriage with Tom Wambsgans (played by Matthew Macfadyen) on account of their baby, as well as Tom’s shock appointment as Waystar Royco’s American CEO.

In his own post-finale message, Macfadyen told Time that he had “good fun” throughout the show’s four-season run, while Roman Roy actor Kieran Culkin described Succession’s ending as “perfect.” The castmate’s reflection on the show follows a bombshell-heavy finale spanning Kendall’s (Jeremy Strong) hare-brained scheme to succeed his father, Roman’s reclusion to his mother’s estate, and Shiv’s betrayal by Alexander Skarsgård’s Lukas Matson.

HBO’s head of drama Francesca Orsi likewise commented on the show’s finale, recently saying she is “going to miss” the “eccentric [and] totally intoxicating” Roy family. Orsi said that while there’s been talk of continuing Succession in some form, HBO has not yet nailed down which (if any) character will receive a future spin-off.
