Plus, it’s just been revealed that Paul Bettany is likely set to return as Vision in Scarlet Witch’s solo venture. This makes a lot of sense for anyone who’s seen Avengers: Infinity War. After all, Wanda Maximoff and the android had fallen hard for each other since we last saw them and though they’re both currently dead, we’d expect this romance to continue once they’ve been resurrected in Avengers 4

If the Wanda/Vision love story will be the backbone of the Scarlet Witch show, then, could it be drawing a certain amount of inspiration from the House of M storyline? Though we can’t see the reality-warping part of the comic book event being tackled, the central idea of having Wanda’s life unravel would make for a great miniseries. In the comic, she uses her powers to effectively dream up a happy life, including two children with Vis. However, the illusion can’t last and she loses her grip on reality when she realizes it’s all fake.

It’s not just fans who’d like to see the show adapt House of M, either, as Olsen herself has said that she “would love” to address the storyline within the MCU. She smartly made the point at the time that all the X-Men stuff would have to be removed, but even that might not be an obstacle anymore as Disney will soon get its paws on the X-Men universe through its purchase of Fox.

So, what are you waiting for, Marvel? Make it happen with the Scarlet Witch show.
