Last night’s episode of The Flash featured a blink and you’ll miss it shot of Supergirl in a scene which seemingly confirmed that she lives on an alternate Earth in the DC Comics Multiverse. How Barry Allen will end up travelling there remains to be seen, but anticipation for these two heroes to meet on the small screen is at an all-time high.

The Fastest Man Alive will appear on Supergirl on the March 28th episode, and producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg had this to say when the crossover was made official earlier this month:

“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl—The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up! We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”

With shooting on the episode now underway, Grant Gustin has taken to Instagram to share the first image of him and Melissa Benoist together as The Flash and Supergirl on the set of the CBS series. It makes for a pretty iconic sight, and seeing them in action together promises to be very exciting.

More details about what’s to come on this sure to be epic instalment of Supergirl will hopefully follow soon, so stay tuned!
