One of the things that FX’s hit motorcycle drama Sons of Anarchy (arguably) does better than any series currently on the air is interact with their fans, personally and often.

We’ve seen this exemplified by showrunner and creator Kurt Sutter, with his Tuesday night Twitter Q&A’s via his personal account @sutterink, and from several other cast members over the course of the show’s continuing run.

As part of the promotional campaign for the upcoming sixth season, Sons of Anarchy stars Theo Rossi (‘Juice’) and Kim Coates (‘Tig’) sat down for a Google Plus Hangout chat with fans on Friday afternoon. For one hour, Rossi and Coates took questions from fans about the new season, the show’s history, and how the show has effected them on a personal level.

The session was hosted by on-air personality Shira Lazar, who also hosts the daily interactive show, What’s Trending. Lazar took turns with Hangout guests asking the stars questions. Fans had an opportunity to chime in beforehand by Tweeting their questions along with #SOAFX. They also had a chance during the live-interview to write in on the discussion sidebar.

It was great seeing the camaraderie between these two stars who obviously spend a lot of time together, both on and off set. They’ve started their own live chat version of Sutter’s Q&A titled Tig & Juice Time. And, they are both heavily involved in charity work, independently and collaboratively. Rossi and Coates are representatives for the Boots campaign which raises awareness for the challenges that members of the armed forces face during their transition home.

Sons of Anarchy is continuing their social media takeover with the web aftershow, Anarchy Afterword, that starts immediately following the season 6 premiere.

You can check out the entire Google Hangout session below while you wait for the new season of Sons of Anarchy to premiere on Tuesday, September 10 at 10 p.m. E.S.T./P.S.T. on FX! Will you be tuning in?
