Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Episode Synopses Tease Fierce Battles To Come

Star Wars Rebels has gathered an ardent following over the years thanks to the unique position it occupies in the Star Wars canon, filling the gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. What's more, the show's original group of characters, Ezra Bridger, Hela Syndulla, Sabine Wren and the rest of the crew of the Ghost, have grown into fan favourites. The upcoming fourth season is much-anticipated, then, as it's set to be the final run of the series, bringing the timeline right up to the events of Rogue One (as teased in the recent trailer).

Star Wars Rebels has gathered an ardent following over the years thanks to the unique position it occupies in the Star Wars canon, filling the gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. What’s more, the show’s original group of characters, Ezra Bridger, Hela Syndulla, Sabine Wren and the rest of the crew of the Ghost, have grown into fan favourites. The opening episodes, “Heroes of Mandalore,” sound like good ones for Sabine fans, as we’ll find out more about the “devastating weapon” she built in her youth. The following two-parter, “In the Name of the Rebellion,” will see another appearance from Saw Gerrera – with Forest Whittaker reprising his role from Rogue One. As the movie made clear, Gerrera’s separated from the Rebel Alliance due to his militant ways, so expect some sparks to fly when the Ghost crew are forced to team up with him.

“The Occupation” and “Flight of the Defender,” meanwhile, are shrouded in more mystery as these synopses are deliberately kept vague. The former will see the gang face a tough mission as they head into the lion’s den on the Empire-controlled planet of Lothal, while the latter teases the unthinkable happening as Thrawn apparently lends a hand to Ezra and Sabine.

Though they aren’t mentioned in these synopses, we also know a few other things about season 4. For one, Ahsoka Tano will make a return, explaining what happened after her battle with Darth Vader, her former master, back in season 2. Ezra and Kanan’s connection with the mystical wolves of Lothal will also be explored. And, last but not least, there’ll even be some references to the construction of the Death Star, codenamed: Operation Stardust.

Star Wars Rebels will land on Disney XD on October 15th.
