When it was revealed that Dean Cain had been cast as the adoptive father of Kara Danvers in Supergirl, many fans assumed that he would be a regular presence in the series. That’s why the revelation that he had died years earlier during a mission with the real Hank Henshaw came as such a surprise.

Now, new images from the March 21st episode of Supergirl offer up a look at him meeting Martian Manhunter, a character who we recently learned took Hank’s place as the head of the DEO.

For further details, here’s the official synopsis for “Manhunter”:

J’onn J’onzz reveals the details of meeting Kara and Alex’s father, Dr. Jeremiah Danvers (Dean Cain), and assuming Hank Henshaw’s identity. Also, Kara debates trusting someone new with her secret identity and Siobhan (Italia Ricci) plots against Kara, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, March 21 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Supergirl has so far only shown Martian Manhunter sparingly in the series, so it’s going to be great to see him get a lot of screentime here. The story behind how he ended up taking the place of the villainous Hank Henshaw is also intriguing, so there’s definitely a lot to look forward to in this instalment of the CBS series.
