Taylor Swift will be honored at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, August 7th. Swift, who has sold more than 20 million records in her remarkable five year career, is to receive the Ultimate Choice Award, what FOX describes as the highest honor of the Teen Choice Awards. Past winners include Justin Timberlake, Reese Witherspoon, Britney Spears and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

FOX is also calling on fans to pay tribute to Taylor Swift at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards. The network is encouraging Taylor Swift fans to go to Twitter and tweet @TeenChoiceGirl and say why Taylor is their Ultimate Choice. The best fan tweets will be chosen to scroll on the bottom of the screen during the August 7th broadcast.

Taylor Swift won’t be alone among the big stars being honored at the Teen Choice Awards. FOX announced this week that stars like Robert Pattinson, singer Demi Lovato and talk show host Ellen Degeneres have been added to the galaxy of stars already committed to showing up August 7th.

Among those who had already pledged their attendance for the show Tyra Banks, Jason Bateman, WWE star John Cena, Justin Bieber, Ed Helms, Shaun White, Joe Jonas, Victoria Justice and in some clever corporate synergy, Zooey Deschanel who will be on hand to plug her new FOX sitcom The New Girl.

Speaking of corporate synergy, don’t miss FOX’s Red Carpet coverage of their own made up event that will be hosted by comedians Jordan Morris and Robin Thede from the new Fox series In the Flow with Affion Crockett which premieres on FOX on Saturday, August 20th.

You can watch the Red Carpet arrivals webcast at TeenChoiceAwards.com.

Fans have until Friday, August 5th to vote for the winners in categories such as Choice Action Movie, Choice Romantic Comedy, Choice Drama, Choice Rock Group, Choice Male Country Artist and Choice Female Country Artist for which Taylor Swift is a nominee. Caley Cuoco from the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory hosts The Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, August 7th on FOX.
