The countdown begins as a mysterious new ‘Warrior Nun’ website emerges after the series finds salvation

Answers are coming, you'll just have to wait for them.

As determined as the Halo Bearers had been ever since Netflix initially pulled the plug, history was not on the side of Warrior Nun being saved.

Countless streaming exclusives have been forcibly removed from the airwaves and become the subjects of petitions, campaigns, protests, movements, and almost everything in between, but almost none of them managed to rise from the ashes. With that in mind, the fandom had every right to celebrate when showrunner Simon Barry revealed the news everyone had been waiting for; Warrior Nun would return.

However, the form it’ll take remains completely shrouded in mystery and entirely up for debate. It won’t be on Netflix, that’s for sure, but whisperings of a standalone feature-length adventure or a shortened run of episodes to bring the story full circle could end up ensuring the comeback is short-lived regardless of what shape it ends up taking.

On the plus side, answers are coming… just not for a while. Hours ago, the website Warrior Nun Saved went live, and the only information available is a countdown. At the time of writing, there are 44 days to go until the clock reaches zero, which is presumably when the major announcement will be made.

Just when Warrior Nun supporters achieve their dream, they’re being forced to wait almost a month and a half to discover how it’s going to pan out. Of course, nobody’s going to mind in the slightest seeing as Warrior Nun is guaranteed to make a return to screens eventually, but you can bet the speculation will be running rampant between now and then.
