‘The Witcher’ season 3 teaser proves Henry Cavill’s last days as Geralt will be filled with bloodshed

Cavill gave fans a heartfelt goodbye at TUDUM 2023.

Henry Cavill and cast mates Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, and Joey Batey addressed a crowd of roaring fans at TUDUM today. The Witcher stars were on hand to promote the third season of their hit show — and for Cavill to give fans a farewell prior to his departure from the program.

Over at TUDUM in São Paulo, Brazil, the four stars took the stage to thank fans for their support and to introduce a new clip from the series. The scene features Cavill’s Geralt doing his Witcher duties as he and Yennefer (Chalotra) fight to aid Ciri (Allan). The clip promises plenty of carnage and magical battles from the next season of the hit series. Batey also teased that the ‘big bad’ of the next season will be quite surprising and pleasing to fans.

Volume 1 of the series will be released on June 29, while volume 2 will be released on July 27. Following the third season, Cavill will be departing from the show. In fact, everyone in the cast and the audience seemed keenly aware that Cavill will not be returning to the franchise for season 4, with Liam Hemsworth set to take over the role of Geralt from that point onwards.

Thus, much of the showcase was taken up by goodbyes to Cavill. Cavill’s cast members took a moment to thank the actor for his participation of the series, with each expressing that they would miss the former Superman actor. As fans continued to cheer, Cavill returned that gratitude to his adoring fans.
