There Are Two Flash Villains Stephen Amell Would Like To Fight On Arrow

Despite knowing that yet another four-show crossover is slated for later this fall, that doesn't mean there won't be even more cross-pollination between Arrow and its other DC TV brethren during the next season of television. As you may recall, there have been smaller crossover moments here and there, with characters such as John Diggle and the Atom having made their way to Central City for a guest shot on The Flash.

Funnily enough, one of those examples listed couldn’t have segued into today’s topic for discussion any better. A while back, there was that time when Diggle and his wife, Lyla, were forced to team up with the Scarlet Speedster in order to take down King Shark. Well, if Stephen Amell gets his way, a rematch may be in order, this time with Team Arrow having home ice advantage.

Here’s what he had to say when asked which Flash villains he’d like to do battle with at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in Nashville:

“King Shark would be fun. No actually, I think that some iteration of Harrison Wells, the evil version would be pretty awesome to deal with. I like him. He’s smart.”

As for Harrison Wells, it stands to reason that Amell is talking about the Reverse-Flash because, quite frankly, all he and Earth-2 “Harry” might engage in is a mildly heated game of chess. Now, Oliver Queen and Eobard Thawne did square off near the end of The Flash season 1, but not in a one-on-one bout. And although the villain seemingly met his end over on Legends of Tomorrow, this connected universe has relied heavily on time travel and other means of science fiction, so such a thing isn’t out of the question.

Arrow returns for its sixth season on Thursday, October 12 on The CW.
