For starters, not only is Oliver going to go to war with Damien Darhk to save his son, but Vixen will be making her live-action debut in the series. The character (played by Megalyn E.K.) previously appeared in an online CW Seed show set in the world of Arrow and The Flash, and now she’ll be appearing in live-action.

Fore more details on what to expect in “Taken,” here’s the official synopsis courtesy of the network:

Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes he needs help battling Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) so he calls in an old friend – Vixen (guest star Megalyn E.K.). Using her magical ability to summon animal powers, Vixen gets a lock on Darhk’s location and the team goes to war. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) has a heart-to-heart talk with Malcolm (John Barrowman). Gregory Smith directed the episode with story by Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Keto Shimizu & Brian Ford Sullivan.

This sounds like a fantastic episode, and if the response to Vixen is as huge as it was when Barry Allen showed up in Arrow, it’s perfectly possible that we could see her get a spinoff series of her own. Time will tell on that front, of course, but we’ll find out more when this episode of Arrow airs next Wednesday on The CW.
