Vixen Will Indeed Return For Legends Of Tomorrow Season 4

When Amaya Jiwe returned to her home village of Zambesi – and in her native time period, no less – in Legends of Tomorrow‘s most recent season finale, many of us naturally thought that’d be it for this particular iteration of Vixen. After all, an exit on her part would’ve made a ton of sense, given the arc explored by the character throughout season 3.

Then, just days later, former executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed that “Maisie (Richardson-Sellers) will absolutely be back,” thus causing me to let out a rather loud “huh?” I mean, I know the producers wanted to put Amaya back on her natural path, but why not wait until she’s actually done with the show to do so?

Reaffirming this on Twitter was actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers herself, boldly stating that she “WILL be returning,” and for us to pay close attention to Legends of Tomorrow‘s San Diego Comic-Con panel scheduled for Saturday, July 21st. Additionally, she teased the next leg in the journey as being “weirder and more wonderful than ever.”

Of course, with this being a time travelling show, pretty much anything is possible, which we’ve learned via characters such as Captain Cold being brought back different capacities – even after chronological death. That said, simply going back home is far from a deal-breaker.

When it comes to being “weirder and more wonderful than ever,” we’re guessing that has everything to do with the “Fugitives” teased by the following synopsis:

After defeating Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends were ready to ease off the gas. That was until Constantine arrived to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one. When the Legends let time crumble in order to release and defeat Mallus, the barrier between worlds softened. History is now infected with “Fugitives” – magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. So when all hell breaks loose, who ya gonna call? That’s right, the Legends!

All will be revealed when Legends of Tomorrow returns for its fourth season on Monday, October 22 on The CW.
