Watch Gotham Stories: Chapter 3 – “Run, Penguin, Run!”

Fox has once again treated us all to another action packed episode of Gotham Stories. Picking up directly where last week’s installment left off, “Run, Penguin, Run!” does not give the characters involved – or the viewer, for that matter – a chance to catch their breath.

Featuring the voice talents of Robin Lord Taylor (Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin), Camren Bicondova (Selina Kyle/Cat), Nathan Darrow (Victor Fries), Ben McKenzie (Jim Gordon) and Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock), this is the third of five motion comics that bridge the gap between the first half of Gotham Season Two, “Rise of the Villains,” and the second half, “Wrath of the Villains.”

In this particular episode, Mr. Freeze does not give his relentless pursuit of Penguin a chance to thaw and seemingly does not care who gets caught in the crossfire. Luckily for Penguin, it seems that one of his henchmen had been able to survive, along with Selina Kyle, who did not abandon the crime boss after all. Their narrow escape will not likely improve their pursuer’s frosty disposition.

It should be interesting to see where the next episode goes, as the first three have told quite the fluid story. Perhaps we will continue the journey with Penguin and company, or see things from the perspective of the Gotham City Police Department, which has yet to make its presence felt. One thing is for sure: we are in the eye of the proverbial storm, as hard as that may be to believe. Things always get worse in Gotham before they get better.

Gotham is set to return with new episodes on Monday, February 29 at 8:00 pm EST on Fox. In addition to Mr. Freeze, expect to meet Hugo Strange and Matches Malone, along with returning baddies such as Tabitha Galavan/Tigress, who is now minus a brother.

Be sure to come back next Monday for another motion comic.
